The IOT sensors can be purchased with an inbuilt fully functioning DALI relay. By default, the relay is controlled by the sensor’s internal application controller until the sensor (ECD) is addressed.
When using the IOT sensors and the express app, the relay can be added to a DALI group (1-16). When in a group, it will be controlled by application controllers which are targeting broadcast and the group (normal DALI behaviour).
The inbuilt application controller will route all its commands over the DALI wired network (DALI-only devices) or the wireless network (wireless-only devices) or both the DALI wired network and the wireless network (wireless devices with DALI wired interface).

The inbuilt DALI-2 relay functions identically to a separate DALI-2 relay
Commands from any source (wired or wireless) can control the inbuilt DALI-2 relay
- By default (unaddressed) all sensors (wired or wireless) target broadcast
- All relays respond to broadcast
- Via the express app, sensors can change their targets to any group target
- Via the express app, relay can be added to DALI groups
- Sensors will control any ECG (devices such as relays) if the sensors target is the same and the ECGs group regardless of where they may be on the DALI wired or DALI wireless network
- A sensor can control a relay on another sensor without issue
- Multiple sensors can target the same groups
